Digital Learning Guide: Find Websites

First check the Subject Research Guide for your class or discipline (psychology, english, etc.). 

Subject Research Guides include a tab for Web Sites that have been selected by Carroll librarians as credible sites.

This saves you the time spent on evaluating websites.

Spend more time on completing your assignment.

Use the Advanced Search to limit the search and find better information.

Do a regular search and then look for the gear icon in the upper right corner of the results page.  When you click on that icon, you find the option for the Advanced Search.

Find better websites by searching more efficiently.

Try the Advanced Search in any search engine to narrow a search more specifically.

Find scholarly articles or citations for scholarly articles. 

Use our E-Journal Finder to determine if the library owns articles that are not full text.

To find reliable websites try evaluated directories.

They include sites recommended by librarians or educators.
