Carroll Community College Library Policies

Library Conduct

  • Set your cell phone to vibrate and take phone conversations outside the library.
  • Use headphones.
  • Do not leave valuables unattended. The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
  • The Library reserves the right to inspect all personal belongings for library materials.
  • Children must be supervised.
  • Service animals only are permitted.
  • Patron behavior must conform to the Student Code of Integrity, and Acceptable Use Policy for Technical Resources.
  • Snacks and drinks are allowed in the library. Please report spills immediately.
  • Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority will be given to groups of 2 or more students, and individual students may be asked to vacate if all rooms are full and a group needs a study space.
  • Hate speech, whether in verbal or written form, will not be tolerated. If library staff witness any acts of hate speech, the incident will be immediately reported to Campus Police (and the Director of Student Care and Integrity, if applicable) for further investigation.
