Carroll Community College Library Policies

Study Rooms

There are 5 group study rooms on the main floor of the library.

  • Rooms are designed for groups of two or more and are available on a first come, first served basis. You can not reserve a study room.
  • At this time, there are no study rooms designated for individuals. Individuals may use the group study rooms, but will be asked to vacate if there is a group in need of the space.
  • Study rooms are equipped with a desktop computer, table, chairs and a dry erase board. In addition, the Media Viewing study room also has a TV/DVD/VCR player.
  • Study rooms are not soundproof, so please be mindful of your neighbors and maintain a reasonable volume.
  • Students must wear masks at all times while in study rooms per the college's COVID policy.
  • Please leave the study rooms as clean as you found them. Dispose of any trash (particularly food and beverage) and wipe down the dry erase boards before exiting.

Proctoring exams

  • The library cannot provide any proctoring services or private space to complete online proctored exams.

  • Private study rooms should never be used to complete online proctored exams, as individual students may be asked to vacate a room during a test should a group request it. Please review the study room policies above for more information.

  • Contact your instructor or the Testing Center for more information about where to take a proctored exam.
