Play Online Database
- New Play Exchange This link opens in a new windowWorld's largest digital library of scripts by living writers. Search by title, keyword, playwright, length of play, identity of characters (number, gender, ethnicity), identity of playwright, etc.
To search the play collection, go to the Search drop-down menu and select Plays. Use the various limiters on the right-hand side to narrow down your results by attributes of plays (e.g. length, genre, subjects), actor or character (e.g. ethnicity, gender, age), playwright, etc.
You may use any material found in New Play Exchange for class or auditions. Public performance rights require playwright permission.
