Use the Book & Media Catalog to locate both print and e-books.
Some hints!
System searches: The catalog will search all the libraries in the Carroll County Library Partnership. Click on Carroll County Public Library if you want to do that. An alphabetical search will do the same thing.
Search language: Use one or two main words to find your topic. No luck? Brainstorm for other words or ask for help.
E-books: They are included in the catalog. Click to open. You can read and print online.
To locate a print book on the shelf: Check four things! Make sure it is in our Libary/Location. Note the collection--it may be a reference book which is located on the main floor, it may be a circulating book which is on the lower level, etc. Folio or oversize books are in a separate collection area and are a large part of the art collection. They are after the normal size books on the lower level.
We use the Library of Congress system which has letters which indicate the subject in front of the numbers. Look at the overview of system, use charts on the wall or ask a librarian for help. Finally, make sure its status is checked in.
Look here to find web links to additional e-books not found in Carroll's online catalog.
