Finding Nursing Journals

Welcome!

Welcome to the Finding Nursing Journals research guide! This is designed to help nursing students find scholarly, peer-reviewed articles for their courses. If you need help finding resources for your assignment, please contact the Nursing Library Liaison, Robert Krzanowski, at rkrzanowski@carrollcc.edu or 410-386-8337.

Resources covered in this guide include 3 EBSCO databases (Academic Search Premier, Health Source: Nursing/Academic, and CINAHL) 1 ProQuest database (ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health), the E-Journal Finder, and PubMed. There is also a brief review of the characteristics of scholarly/peer-reviewed articles. The screenshots below demonstrate how to find our health-related databases from the CCC Library homepage. The four databases listed below are by far your best bets for finding scholarly articles, so I would strongly urge you to only use these databases when you need peer-reviewed sources.
