This guide will point students to print and online sources which are useful when researching historical topics.
Finding Books
Print and electronic books are essential resources for any historical research. The Library has numerous books on historical time periods, well known historical individuals, historical events, and country histories. Often, one can find information on a research topic in a chapter or even a few pages of a larger book.
Use the online catalog to conduct a keyword or subject search for books, ebooks, reference books, or media.
Be sure to note:
- the collection of the item (Reference, Periodical, Folio, Book)
- the item's call number
- whether the item is available or has been checked out
- if the item is an ebook or website, use the embedded link to access it.
